DALAVIL GLEN

Dalavil Glen is a beautiful walk, with some 19th c. beech trees, lots of old woodland and Skye's only canal, connecting a large fresh-water loch to the sea. A new track half way up the Tarskavaig road will lead you some of the way, but you will need a good map and boots. Caradal village was cleared in about 1880.
